Am I wrong in saying we’ve had only about 2 weeks of summer here in the UK? Going off the recent weather we’ve experienced I would say we’ve had all the sun that’s in store for us (Although I really hope not) 🙂
As we sadly near the end of August, the bright summer days we once experienced are now a very distant memory and it’s time to make way for gloomy, cooler and sadly, rainier days (Get the brollies at the ready).
No one wants to put their summer wardrobe away for good though, so we’ve come up with some cool ideas and lifestyle hacks to help you get the most out of your ‘summer’ wear as the weather transitions to autumn/ winter
Keep warm and stay super stylish with very durable leather jackets. A versatile addition to everyone’s wardrobe and can be worn with a simple t-shirt or layered on top of a chunky knit when it becomes frosty.
Layer it on lightly
Layering lightly allows you to adapt to the ever changing weather outside. Opt for cardigans and jackets in this transitional period instead of going in for the kill with a heavy duty winter jacket.
Open Toe Boots
It’s time to ditch the sandals, and opt for open toe boots. This allows you to still enjoy sunny weather, without wearing chunky boots. The best of both worlds!
Wrap up in scarves
Accessorising your looks with scarves is an easy and stylish way to update summer outfits making them more season appropriate. Experiment with prints and patterns for your own personal style.
Leggings and Tights
Add a pair of tights and leggings to transform your summer dresses for cooler weather. This a simple way to keep your summer wear season ready even when you’re not.
Faux fur is a great way to stay cosy as the colder months draw near. Look chic and sultry in fur trims on jackets, as linings and even bags.
