The fabulous LucyQ Collection is coming up this week… her last show of the year. We’re sure that there will be loads of amazing deals to be had, so be sure to tune in on Thursday at 6 pm.
With numerous designs under her belt, today, Lucy is an innovative silversmith and jewellery designer. Lucy is based in Chester where the ideas for her jewellery come to fruition. She was named a ‘Trendsetter’ at this year’s Professional Jeweller Hot100, as well as being nominated a finalist for the prestigious ‘Designer of the Year’ at the 2013 UK Jewellery Awards.
Lucy’s love of jewellery goes back to when she was in school. She designed her first collection at the age of 18 for her ‘A’ Levels, which received top marks. Lucy’s love of jewellery didn’t stop once she left high school. She went on to study metalwork and jewellery design at Sheffield Hallam University where she won an award for her work in Pewter.
In 2004, Lucy Quartermaine started LucyQ Designs, specialising in pieces that are contemporary and original and have a genuine sense of fun and quirkiness about them. Inspiration for her work comes from everyday objects jigsaw puzzle pieces and buttons. You’ll also notice water plays a noticeably large part of the inspiration process. All in all Lucy gives us designs that are elegant, structural and eye-catching depicting the fluid beauty of silver.
