Spring is coming so rather than just having a spring clean, why not change things up for the season?
Of course, clothing and accessory styles are set to get a revamp for the new season, especially as the weather will hopefully be warming up a bit, but it isn't the only thing you can change up for SS15.
If you really want a new image for the new season, changing up your hair colour can totally alter your look. Whether you've coloured your hair a lot before or tend to stick to one shade, going for a different colour for your luscious locks can make all the difference.
This doesn't mean you have to go mad, but even a small change can make all the difference.
To help you decide whether you're ready to hit the bottle and mix up a new hair colour, here are some of the biggest trends for SS15 when it comes to updating your tresses.
Platinum is out and sunny, silken tones of caramel blonde are definitely in. This colour is a more natural choice for dyed blonde hair, taking the tone ever so slightly darker.
Whereas lighter blonde hair was a popular choice for winter, this cool colour is giving way to warmer shades of honey and caramel, introducing a touch of red into the mix.
Not only is this a great summer look – especially as the sun will help your hair to look more multi-tonal – it is also easier to maintain, with root grow out becoming less of an issue.
If you're looking for a small change to your blonde locks or you want to swap from dark to light, caramel blonde is definitely the best choice.
For those who want to go even warmer with their hair, copper red is the big winner. Deeper burgundy shades or bright pillar box reds are out and this more subtle shade is in.
Red has come into its own in recent seasons, following a few years of the hair colour being seen as the wild choice.
Copper tones create a gorgeous natural red, while also making it easier to keep multi tonal. It is a good choice if you are looking for a fairly drastic change without having to go for a more unusual colour.
It is particularly lovely with pale skin, as it can look bright even if you go for a softer red.
Believe it or not but black – or very very dark brown – hair is in for spring. Deep and solid shades are all over the catwalk for SS15, meaning that you might want to go really drastic and come to the dark side.
To really pull this look off, you want to ensure that you keep a bit of warmth in your hair – if you're making the leap from blonde to black make sure you add red to your tresses first to stop the colour going flat – especially as the look is all about block colours.
You should also add UV protection to your hair to stop the sun bleaching out your colour, keeping your raven locks glossy, shiny and dark for the entire season.
